GRAND PASSION was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best New Age Album.
With this album, pianist and composer John Tesh returns to a more intimate style. Although complimented by guitar, drums, saxophone, and strings, Tesh's passionate playing takes center stage. As always, Tesh's piano work is lush and dramatic, often building to emotional crescendos, but capable of quiet, moving moments as well. Two songs include vocal performances, "Give Me Forever (I Do)," with James Ingram lending his inimitable voice; and the poignant "Mother I Miss You," which Tesh wrote for his late mother, which includes vocals by Dalia Reid.
